While this is mostly Ag, Construction, Trucks and Material handling, Twitter offers a wealth of resources in every asset class that you can easily leverage to provide insights to your vendors (existing or new targets). Here’s why this is a really good idea:

  • Twitter offers a river of data and insights you don’t have to come up with on your own
  • Twitter is limited to 140 characters (including the web link) so the things you forward are often very short and easy for your targets to consume
  • Most importantly: Don’t just forward the info. Write a paragraph or two letting know what you think and how it affects them. They can get the information from lots of places, but they can only get your expert insight from you.

Spend 30 minutes once per week shopping through the twitter accounts that have cool links and another hour writing one paragraph intros with your opinion and an open door to discuss if they questions about financing or the industry. Share the info and your opinions in targeted LinkedIn groups and come up with a single email you send to your top 25 every other week and your pipeline will grow significantly in 3 months.
